About our school
Primary School and Mount Gambier Children’s Centre
Welcome to Mulga Street Primary School, a vibrant learning community nestled on the north-western edge of Mount Gambier. Established in 1982, our school provides a nurturing and inspiring environment for approximately 250 students, including those in our Children’s Centre. We are dedicated to fostering a love of learning, well-being, and a strong sense of community for every child.
At our school, students can learn and grow in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
Our vision
Our vision and pedagogy prioritize the holistic development of our students, emphasising academic achievement, positive attitudes towards learning, and overall wellbeing. We are dedicated to nurturing every student through education that incorporates evidence-based literacy and numeracy practices. By leveraging the science of reading and embracing inquiry-based approaches in mathematics, we empower our students to tackle real- world problems with creativity and critical thinking.
